Are you one of these types? Or all of the above? There are only 2 to 4% Empaths and around 15 to 20% are Highly Sensitive People in the world. If someone's telling you that you are too sensitive, and most of the time you feel the odd one out of the group because you are the only one who feels strongly on situations and things around you, then you maybe belong to 20% of Highly Sensitive People.
Does crisis like death, accidents and other nature's disaster affect you so much? Even though you don't know these people or you haven't been there but you feel strongly about it? It sounds so weird but these are the everyday life of Empaths and HSPs.
We are facing a global crisis today - pandemic, death, job loss, hunger plus all kinds of emotions rolled into one.
For Empaths and HSPs, hearing news about all these things drain their energy so much. Some may find the situation heart breaking and crying over the situation.
At the same time, Empaths will try to do their best to help out, exhausting all the the mental headspace thinking what to do to "fix the problem".
If you are consciously aware that you are an Empath and HSPs, you will do the right thing to take care of yourself. Here are some best practices to stay grounded, recharge and live normally as an Empath/HSPs.
It's disturbing to me to read news about people getting depress, jumping out from the window, committing suicide because they can't take it to be isolated in the comfort of their homes.
I know we have other issues such as millions of job loss and many people are starving. Mental health is also a serious problem.
Do we keep ourselves in check everyday? What is good for us? What are the things that we can't tolerate? What should be our mindset in times of crisis?
I came across an Instagram newsfeed @omgskr so I googled her and found her medium posts.
There is one about "The 48 Hour Second Date", that all of us can totally relate as single women who are always on guard. Does it sound familiar?? Single Independent Women... yes you.
I've got it all, but I feel so deprived
I go up, I come down and I'm emptier inside
Tell me what is this thing that I feel like I'm missing
And why can't I let go
There's gotta be more to life
Than chasing down every temporary high to satisfy me
'Cause the more that I'm
Tripping out thinking there must be more to life
Well it's life, but I'm sure, there's gotta be more
Than wanting more
I've got the time and I'm wasting it slowly
Here in this moment I'm half way out the door
Onto the next thing, I'm searching for something that's missing...
Yeah right, Stacie Orrico. There's definitely more to life than chasing and wanting more things in life. What makes a human "fulfilled" and "content"??
